Q. Tell us a little about who you are and about Retiring Not Shy?
A. I'm Jan a 60 something blogger and influencer. My blog is https://retiringnotshy.com.au/ and we write about everything retirement lifestyle related; from personal style, to travel, to how to choose your retirement location.
Q. What have you found is your best secret styling tip?
A. My Mum told me to always buy the best I could afford. Not necessarily the most expensive, but definitely good quality. That has held me in good stead.
Q. Why do you love most about linen?
A. So many things, I love that it is sustainable and that it feels so good to wear all year round.
Q. What do you think is most important when it comes to Winter / trans-seasonal dressing?
A. Layering is key I think, and there are so many layering options available these days. We no longer need to feel trussed up in tight coats and jackets when there are options from dusters to trenches, to wraps, shackets ......
Q. What do you wish you could tell your 20 year old self about how to dress?
A. Your natural inclination towards classic styles will always be in fashion.
Q. How do you choose what colours to wear?
A. I have had my colours done but I don't take that too literally, particularly as I have aged I can wear so many more colours. My wardrobe has pretty much every colour except brown, and I love to use colour to pick up a seasonal trend like the purples that have been around this year.
Q. What do you love about living in Noosa?
A. We are just so fortunate to live in a place which balances natural beauty with so many great restaurants, theatre, movies, music etc. and is an easy drive from Brisbane. We truly feel that we have landed on our feet since moving here and we pinch ourselves most days.
